Providing Care For Families Dealing With Autism
It is always a goal among people who know children with Autism to give them a life that they deserve, but it is a hard thing to do, especially for those whose children have been diagnosed with Autism. ”Our goal is to make sure our kids enjoy life and have a good time,” says Allan Rose of Carolina Autism.
And that is where Carolina Autism comes in. They not only provide guidance to families and even teachers, but also provide homes for those who need additional support to help lead a normal life. And one person who made a sacrifice to ensure that happens is Allan Rose. Who mortgaged his house to help with funding. “We had everything in place..except the money…so I talked to my wife and decided to mortgage our house to get 150,000 dollars to start up,” added Rose.
And a good chunk of that money goes to homes being bought and designated to house those who are autistic…and need help getting through life. “At Christmas time..we got trees up in our house..we give them gifts…alot of support from the community-when they come home from school…I want them to bel able to pull things out of their bookbag and if theres homework to be done..just try to give them a some type of normalcy, ” says Rose. Six homes are now housing teens and adults in the Lowcountry.
